"Publishing My Book!" We know you've been waiting to say this every time someone asks you, "Well what have you been up to lately?" The good news is that it doesn't have to be wishful thinking anymore.

New writers often believe that only well-known authors or the famous are published on a world-wide scale, and that it may never happen to them soon enough. But thanks to electronic publishing and fast-paced distribution methods of the internet, almost anyone can be published much quicker than in the past.

As long as you're a good writer, you know which markets will appreciate your writing, and you know how to approach them, then you have no reason to believe that you won't succeed. In fact, if you have these skills, not only do you have a tremendous potential to sell your work, you also have a tremendous potential to continue doing so for a very long time.

And being new to the field, you might be under the impression that you have a long and hard road of rejections to filter through. Well guess what? Not any more! Don't get it 'twisted' though - your work may still be rejected by a few publishers, however through the internet - you have the unique opportunity to publish yourself and make your work known without the assistance of major league publication houses.


The more you network with other authors and publishers, the more you'll get all sorts of advice - some of it being sound, tried, and true - but then some of won't even be applicable by today's standards. The important thing that you need to remember is that the old manuscript-submission method of getting published just isn't the only road to follow any more.

Times have changed, and if you're able to keep up with those changes and take full advantage of them, the only thing stopping you, is 'you.'
